Real estate is all about location, location, location. And sometimes, it can be hard to find good leads on potential properties, especially when competitions become more and more fierce.
The more, the merrier, right? Well, not always.
Finding a good real estate lead management tool is the key as it lets you cut through the clutter and get right to the good leads that are available in the market. It gives you an edge on your competition and helps you find properties that others may not have even known were for sale.
REDX has been in the business of lead generation for real estate agents for a while now, and they’ve got a pretty good system down. We wanted to take a closer look and see if they’re really as good as they claim to be.
REDX real estate is one of the finest and most well-known lead generation software that can help you get verified leads from different sources. When I say verified, it means that the leads you get are interested in buying or selling a property and are not just tire-kickers.
What is REDX Real Estate?
REDX real estate is software that is designed specifically to help real estate agents and brokers find, contact, and follow up with potential leads via the CRM tool Vortex – one of the best prospecting tools that help agents find and connect with the perfect leads and organize them in one place.
The software uses cutting-edge technology to scan the web for potential new leads that match your criteria and then provide you with their contact information so that you can reach out to them.
Mark Leck founded REDX real estate in 2003 with the idea of providing agents with a powerful lead generation tool that was easy to use and could provide quality leads without requiring a lot of manual work.
Over the years, REDX has become the industry leader in real estate lead generation, and today it is used by over 100,000 agents in the United States.
Real estate agents can find a suitable option from 5 different REDX leads categories including:
- Expired Leads
- For Sale By Owner (FSBO)
- For Rent By Owner (FRBO)
- GEO Leads
The special thing about REDX is when you get leads, you get the following information about the leads as well:
- Phone number
- Mailing address
- Property address
- Tax information
- Complete listing details (either it appeared in the market before)
REDX also has access to over 1 million landline numbers and over 200 million or more mobile numbers making REDX the number one place to get quality leads.
All the leads are organized in Vortex CRM, so you can easily follow up with the lead and turn it into a possible conversion. You can make notes, add tasks, or even schedule follow-up calls for your lead in the Vortex.
And the best thing? The Vortex CRM is free in all the packages of REDX. You don’t have to pay anything extra for it.
Now that you know more about REDX, let’s take a look at some of the main features that REDX offers.
What Are The REDX Main Features?
What is REDX Vortex?
You can call vortex the powerhouse of REDX as it is the CRM in which all the leads are organized. It makes lead management a breeze as you can add notes, set tasks, and even schedule follow-ups.
Vortex is REDX’s CRM, and it’s designed specifically for real estate agents. It has all the features you need to manage your leads, tasks, and clients. The most important thing in real estate is organization, and with Vortex, you can organize all of your leads in one place.
With REDX Vortex, you can:
- Get a 360 view of everything related to your clients and leads
- Upload documents such as contracts and appraisal reports
- Follow up on leads with phone scripts and mail merge
- Track your leads and sales numbers by using analytics
The best thing about Vortex is that it’s free and designed specifically for real estate agents and is easy to use. So, whether you’re just starting out or an experienced agent, Vortex will help you improve your sales numbers.
With so many lead generation tools available in today’s market, choosing which one is the best for your business can be hard. REDX stands out among the competition due to its range of 5 leads that make finding and reaching out to new potential sellers and buyers easier. You can subscribe to any of them, and Vortex will generate new and up-to-date data daily based on your subscription.
REDX Expired Listings Leads Review
Most real estate agents work in the traditional approach. They let the expired listings go by without reaching out to those who may be interested in relisting the property. But this can be a huge miss for your business, as the owner of an expired listing often is motivated to sell.
With REDX’s expired listings feature, you can find the contact information of homeowners who have recently had their listings expire.
The best thing about this is that these homeowners are motivated to sell, and you can get their contact information for free.
When other competitors are finding expired leads themselves, you can get them faster and cleaner. REDX will provide you with contact information, property details, and the reason why the listings expired. All you need to do is subscribe to the expired listings feature on REDX’s website.
REDX GeoLeads Review
As the name suggests, GeoLeads helps you target a specific geographic area. With REDX GeoLeads, you can:
- Select the geographic area that you want to target
- Get the contact information of homeowners in that area
With GeoLeads, you can target your own area and focus on your neighborhood or a specific area.
Since most homeowners prefer to work with an agent who knows the area well, this is a great way to get listings.
REDX For Sale By Owner (FSBO) Leads Review
REDX’s for sale by owner feature is an excellent option if you want even more listing. REDX uses the most updated and quick information on sites like Zillow, newspapers, and magazines to find contact information of homeowners who are selling their homes by themselves.
REDX updates its information every morning, which means you get the most current leads.
This is a great way to get listings, and you can be sure that the homeowners you contact are interested in selling their properties.
Though agents can do it themselves, it takes far more time than if they get them from a reliable source. REDX is one such reliable source that can provide fresh, verified, and exclusive leads to every agent or company.
REDX For Rent By Owner Leads Review
In addition to the for sale by owner feature, REDX also offers a for rent by owner feature. With this feature, you can get the contact information of homeowners who are renting out their properties.
You don’t have to read the rent signs in your neighborhood or wait for a homeowner to put up the “for rent” sign.
REDX has an efficient system that will help real estate agents access leads from homeowners who are renting out their properties.
REDX Pre-foreclosure Listings Leads Review
Pre-foreclosure is an excellent opportunity for any agent or company who wants to get more listings. With pre-foreclosure listings, you can find the contact information of homeowners who are nearing foreclosure.
Since these homeowners have financial problems and need to sell their properties, they may be willing to sell their homes at a low price. This is a great opportunity to get listings that may have been missed.
REDX provides you with the most updated and accurate information on pre-foreclosures in your area.
You don’t have to waste your time searching for pre-foreclosures manually. Instead, use REDX’s pre-foreclosure feature to get leads on properties that are about to be foreclosed.
Here is how the REDX pre-foreclosure leads process works:
1) Vortex gets all the information on upcoming pre-foreclosures in your area from the courthouse. You get all the contact information, tax info, and title of all the homes that are about to be foreclosed.
2) Vortex then sends this information to a lead manager so you can follow up with these homeowners.
3) You call these homeowners with Strom Dialer – and try to negotiate a short sale with them using the script templates that come with REDX.
4) If you’re successful, which most of the time you are, you list the property and get it sold before it’s foreclosed.
5) You make a commission on the sale, and the homeowner gets to stay in their home.
This is a win-win situation for both the homeowner and the real estate agent, as it can help keep homeowners from going into foreclosure.
Now let’s talk about some general features that you get with REDX.
In addition to the above-mentioned leads, here are some other great features that come with REDX.
Additional REDX Features
1. The REDX Storm Dialer
The REDX Storm Dialer is one of the most important features that help you contact your leads. You can view live listings for easy access, and you can make a call with just one click.
Most other lead generation systems provide you with contact information, but they don’t support power dialing. The auto-dialer feature of REDX makes it superior since you can get more calls through in less time.
Power Dialer calls through your phone or laptop, and as soon as one call hangs up, the dialer automatically starts the next call on your list. This way, you make the most of your time and can call as many leads as possible.
It even helps you to set a time zone, so you don’t call them too early or too late in the day. In short, cold calling and verified leads are two of the most important aspects of real estate lead generation, and REDX makes it easier for you to do both. It doesn’t end here.
You get to add a multi-line dialer which means you can make up to 3 calls at the same time to 3 different leads. It accelerates your sales faster. Suppose if the leads don’t connect on call, you have the option to deliver voice mail so that your leads listen to your message without any interruption.
2) REDX Phone Scripts
Now that’s a very important feature if you want to climb up the success ladder. Most agents make a common mistake when trying to get leads – they sound like they’re reading from a script. This makes the leads feel like they’re just another number and are not likely to do business with you.
With REDX, you can use customized phone scripts to match your lead’s needs and interests. This makes it easier for you to convert leads into clients and boost your sales numbers.
A successful phone script determines how much more you’re going to earn in a day.
Here are some of the best expired lead scripts and some expired listing objection handlers that you will also find helpful (links open in a new window).
3) REDX Analytics & Lead Tracking
It’s very important to track your progress, how the market is going, what the trends are, where your competition stands, what you can do better, etc. This is a great way to improve sales, know how far you’ve come, and see which methods are working and which ones are not. REDX provides you with four different analytics values, including
- Home Building
Though these bundles are not free and are considered add-ons for $25 a month but are very effective.
4) REDX Mail Merge Feature
Included in Vortex, REDX’s CRM is a mail merge feature. You can follow up on the phone calls with physical mail. With this feature, you can send out letters to your leads that are customized and look professional.
Within Vortex, you can select which leads you would like to follow up with mail, and the selected leads will be placed into a campaign. Once you select the contacts, you can export them o pre-made templates that can be customized. The process is simple and easy. The phone scripts plus mail verge combined can help you boost your sales numbers.
5) REDX Leads Are Pre-Verified
A very useful feature that REDX offers is that it verifies all of the leads before they’re sent to you.
Think about it? If you get contact details, but when you call the person, the number is no longer in service. How frustrating is that?
REDX solves this problem by verifying all leads before they’re sent to you. This saves you a lot of time, and you can be sure that the leads you’re getting are interested in doing business with you.
How Can You Learn To Use REDX?
1) REDX Offers Bootcamp Training
As a real estate agent, you need to constantly learn and improve your skills. REDX offers Bootcamp training that is designed specifically for real estate agents. Industry experts lead the training, and you’ll learn everything from social media marketing to using the REDX products.
Some agents who are just starting in the industry may not feel very confident about their skills and abilities.
Vortex has some excellent training materials for agents. They have video tutorials, webinars, and articles on various topics.
The main areas covered in the Bootcamp training are:
- How to handle anxiety
- How to handle rejections, objections
- How to use the power of mindset
The training is available for anyone on the REDX website for $197. You can attend either live training or online training.
The REDX Vortex lead management system is very user-friendly. You don’t need any technical skills to use it. The interface is designed for anyone to be able to use it, and you can get started within minutes.
Even if you’re not familiar with using CRM software, you’ll be able to use Vortex without any problems. The interface is simple and easy to understand. However, it doesn’t have good automation features.
2) The REDX Blog
I usually don’t count a blog as an exceptional feature, but REDX has some precious resources in the blog. They update their blog regularly with tips, tricks, and strategies on real estate.
Whether you’re a new agent looking to get started in the industry or an experienced agent looking to grow your business, the REDX blog is a great resource.
You can find all sorts of articles on real estate, from getting started as an agent to growing your business.
They have particularly useful blog posts on topics like pre-foreclosure listings, the advantages of working with a real estate agent, how to get more leads in your business, and more. This is a great way for new agents to get started and learn more about the business.
Now we have talked about all the features that make REDX stand out from other lead generation companies. We also found some drawbacks which I believe can be improved by the company. However, I personally would recommend REDX because they still stand out in many features that could benefit real estate agents.
9) REDX Podcasts
The REDX podcasts are really well done and are definitely a nice motivator for new real estate agents. The podcasts are regularly updated with valuable content for real estate professionals.
REDX podcast is run by experienced and professional real estate industry experts who interview successful real estate agents to get their best tips, tricks, and strategies.
The podcast is a great way to learn more about the business, and it’s also a great way to stay up-to-date on what’s going on in the industry.
The podcast is an excellent resource for new agents to listen to while you’re driving or working out. You can learn a lot from the podcast, and it’s a great way to stay motivated in your business.
What Are Some Drawbacks of Using REDX?
- REDX Has Some Limited Integration Options:
The main integration option that REDX offers is with their CRM, Vortex. While Vortex is a great CRM for real estate agents, it might not be right for everyone.
For example, if you’re already using a different CRM or want to use the leads with another real estate marketing tool, transferring data from Vortex may take some time and effort. Having said that, there are a lot of newer CRMS that will import REDX leads.
- REDX Can Sometimes Give Incorrect Lead Information
Though REDX offers a feature where they verify all of the leads before they are sent to you, there is still a possibility that some of the information is incorrect.
For example, some users have reported receiving leads with wrong phone numbers or emails. This can be very frustrating because it wastes your time trying to contact the lead only to find out that the information is incorrect.
- Some Features of REDX are Available with Add-ons Only
There are many features that are only available with add-ons. For example, if you want to use the REDX dialer, you need to pay $99.99 per month. Even if you take the premium plan, there are still many features that are only available with add-ons.
This can be very frustrating because you need to keep track of which features you’re paying for and which features you’re not.
Also, Vortex only works with REDX tools. If you’re looking for CRMs or marketing tools that work with multiple platforms, then Vortex isn’t the right tool for you.
Now that we have discussed the drawbacks of REDX let’s see who REDX is the right fit for.
Who Should Use REDX?
If you are a real estate agent who prefers cold calling, deals over the phone, and likes to work with offline marketing, REDX might be the perfect tool.
Independent real estate agents who don’t want to expand their business and work with a team can also use REDX.
Next, it’s for experienced agents who want to scale your business, REDX can be a good option. With the vast number of FSBO leads, you can really expand your real estate business.
Lastly, it might not need to add, but REDX is the most affordable lead generation tool in the market. If you want to get started with real estate lead generation without breaking the bank, then REDX is a great option.
How Much Does REDX Cost?
- REDX Expired Listings: You can choose from $59.99 per month, or you can choose REDX Expired Plus for $119.99
- REDX FSBO Leads: You can choose from $39.99 per month, or you can choose REDX FBSO Plus for $79.99
- REDX GeoLeads: You can choose from $59.99 per month, or you can choose REDX Geo-Plus for $119.99
- REDX Pre-Foreclosure Leads: You can choose from $39.99 per month, or you can choose REDX Pre-foreclosure Plus for $79.99
- REDX FRBO Leads: You can choose from $39.99 per month, or you can choose REDX FRBO Plus for $79.99
As you can see above, REDX has different plans for different types of agents. I personally like their subscription plans because they have three different options depending on your business needs.
The best thing is each lead package comes with free Vortex, and while you can add other features to your subscription, you don’t need to pay for any add-ons if you don’t want to avail them.
In fact, you can choose your own plan for all the five different lead types that REDX offers.
How Much Do the REDX Add-On Options Cost?
- If you want to use the REDX Storm Dialer, then you will need to pay $59.99 per month if you’re going to get single-line access.
- You will pay $99.99 per month single line but unlimited talk per month. For multi-line access, you will pay $129.99 per month and then $149.99 per month for unlimited talk.
- Market Insights Data: You will pay $25 per month for detailed monthly market reports
- Financial Data: You will pay $25 per month for the REDX financial home equity data
- Home and building details: You will pay $25 per month for all the property details
What are the Three REDX Packages for Real Estate Agents?
The three REDX packages for real estate agents include basic, essential, and ultimate.
- The first one is the REDX Basic Plan which costs $89.99 per month and gives you access to FSBO, expired listings, plus Vortex. You can pay $74.99 if you want to pay annually.
- The second is the REDX essential plan, which costs $110.99 per month and gives you access to FSBO, expired listings, geo, and FRBO leads. You can pay $195.99 if you want to pay annually.
- The third is the REDX ultimate plan, which costs $129.99 per month and gives you access to all the listings, including FSBO, expired listings, geo, FRBO, pre-foreclosure, and if you pay $229.99 annually.
REDX Offers Live Support for Clients
REDX offers excellent support to its customers. They have a separate customer success team responsible for all the training, success, and implementation of new features.
They also have a dedicated customer support team responsible for taking care of any technical issues you might face.
They also have FAQs on their website to help you with any general questions you might have.
How Can I Get the Best REDX Discount?
Based on our research, the best discount you can get from REDX is $150 off the setup fee (essentially making REDX setup free). REDX doesn’t offer monthly subscription discounts.
You can get the $150 REDX discount here.

Are REDX Real Estate Leads Worth The Cost?
Based on our research, REDX leads are definitely worth it for most real estate agents.
Having said that, when making your calls, you’ll need to get some practice learning what to say to your leads and how to say it (both your words and the tone). With experience and time, you will get more and more comfortable dealing with home buyers’ and sellers’ common objections.
Also, keep in mind that in most cases, it takes just one closed transaction with a REDX lead which would pay for the REDX service for well more than a year.
REDX is easy to use and more affordable compared to its competitors. REDX also has great customer service.
I personally appreciate the verified and qualified leads because they have a good success rate, and I would highly recommend REDX to anyone looking for quality leads.
Since you have all the verified information of the sellers and buyers, such as contact details and property details, the chances of a closed deal are much greater.
And the cell phone script is an added advantage because it gives you a structure to follow while calling the leads.
So overall, REDX is an excellent tool for any real estate agent who wants to get more leads and close more deals. If you’ve tried this real estate leads service, leave your own REDX reviews in the comments. I’d love to hear your feedback.
